2 say Paradise Valley High School principal was let go because she is gay

A high-school principal whose contract was not renewed last week and a community member have raised the issue that the principal was let go because she  is gay.

Cynthia Davis, principal at Paradise Valley High School, saw the Paradise  Valley Unified School District governing board vote 5-0 to not renew her  contract Thursday night in a meeting that ended in an angry outburst from the  crowd.

In a letter to her staff on March 5, Davis said she was being let go because  the administration had issues with her “leadership ability and  style.”
