Freudian Slip: Fearmongering ENDA

The Employment Non-discrimination Act (ENDA) is a (yet to be passed) bill in the US Congress that would prohibit discrimination in employment and hiring on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

In the below video piece that has two of the favorite anti-gay spokes-figureheads, Tony Perkins and Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council, (designated as a Southern Poverty Law Center Hate Group) trying their hand at fearmongering if ENDA were to be passed. What is hillarious about this attempt comes at about 4:15 in the video.

John Jalsevac of Canada’s talks about the scary Big Brother–the book, not the TV show–effect that not being able to discriminate against LGBTs can have. But he suffers a Freudian Slip when he states “Orwellian aspect of these Christ–Human Rights Commissions.” If you look close enough you can see his eyes flash momentarily with horror at his realization about what healmostsaid, which would have been a more true statement.
