CNN has picked up a story about a young, black couple who’s wedding was rejected by the church they regularly attended, allegedly, because they were black. The Pastor of the chuch, Dr. Stan Weatherford, says in the report that there was a small minority against the marriage at the church.
If the allegations are true, it begs the question, did the minority had a “sincere religous belief” about not allowing blacks to marry in the church or was it just outright prejudice? If it is the former, would that make the rejection more valid?
