Out and Proud Gay Paralympian Lee Pearson Takes Silver

Equestrian Lee Pearson from Great Britain is the first out and proud Paralympian to medal in the 2012 London Games. Lee, who is already the winner of 9 gold Paralympics medals from prior games, captured the silver medal in the equestrian event known as the Individual Championship Test. Riding a horse named Gentleman, Lee narrowly lost the gold to Australia’s Joann Formosa. Austria’s Pepo Puch took the bronze.
