Call for LGBT Elders to Share Their Stories

From Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE):

SAGE Story today launched a nationwide contest to gather stories that relate how LGBT older people combat and conquer isolation, building the support systems we all need to age well.

Enter now and tell us: What does “community” mean to you? How do you stay connected to the people who matter most to you?
The contest is open until 5 pm EST on November 6, 2013. SAGE will select the top entries and post them on our SAGE Story site. From November 7-21, visitors to the site can vote on their favorite story to determine the winner. Our grand prize winner will receive bragging rights and a $50 Amazon gift certificate.

Visit SAGE Story online to learn more about the contest, and to read and watch the stories of LGBT older people from across the country. Then, submit your own story. Remember: Stories connect us—share yours today.

SAGE Story is led by Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE), and is made possible by AARP Foundation and The Ford Foundation.

What a terrific idea! Must head over to SAGE and add my own story, an aging gay man.
