Today in LGBT History: An Interview with the Rainbow Flag Creator, Gilbert Baker

While it may seem like the rainbow flag has always been a part of gay culture, it has only been in existence since 1978. Below is an interview from Radio Free Europe with the flag’s creator, Gilbert Baker.

I like how he said he was inspired by the American flag to create the rainbow flag for the gay community.
